WV-CAG relies on volunteers to help us on many of our projects and campaigns. We have an urgent need for a volunteer to help with data entry. This job can be done from home or in our office. Part-time Development Director - Container Recycling Institute

Small non-profit recycling advocacy group in Glastonbury, CT seeks part time experienced professional to lead the organization’s fundraising efforts. Major duties include preparing and executing annual tactical plan for fundraising, including identification of funding sources for grant funding and major gifts; developing projects suitable for grant funding and preparing grant applications; arranging Executive Director and board meetings with potential donors; semi-annual fund appeal mailing .

Skills Required: Demonstrated ability to meet revenue goals, work independently, communicate effectively (written and verbal), use marketing strategies to meet fundraising goals. Experience creating or improving development office systems, proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power point, dedication to the organization’s mission. Grant writing experience required. Compensation range $25 -$30/hour.

Founded in 1991, the Container Recycling Institute is a nonprofit research and public education organization studying alternatives for reducing container and packaging waste. CRI compiles data on generation, recovery and disposal of beverage containers, researches container and packaging reuse and recycling options, and serves as the clearinghouse for information on beverage container deposit systems. CRI educates policy makers, government officials and the general public about the societal and environmental impacts of the production and disposal of one-way beverage containers.
